چکیده

Extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of the mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT-lymphoma) is mot commonly diagnosed in stomach (30%–35%), but exceedingly rare intestinal tract (2%). Consequently, data on this special subgroup are scarce. Out 484 patients with MALt-lymphoma and treated at our institution from 1999 to 2020, 42 (11%) had involvement (24 primary 18 secondary) were restrospectively analyzed. rated as secondary invlevement, 14 gastric MALT-lymphoma origin. Median age diagnosis was 67 years (interquartile range (IQR) 53–72) median follow-up time 47 months (IQR 32–102). Patients presenting lymphoma-associated symptoms significantly more common group versus MALT lymphomas (52% vs. 20%, p = .047). Nine each, i.e. 9/18 9/24 found positive for Helicobacter pylori. Intestinal organs involved included colon (n 19), duodenum 11), small intestine 8) rectum 5). MALT-IPI could be calculated 39 patients, low documented 37/39 cases. Seven translocation t(11;18)(q21;q21), 6 whom lymphoma, suggesting presence highly suggestive involvement. Treatment available 41 those patients. Eleven (27%) received local therapy (ten surgery, one radiotherapy, complete response rate 90%), 16 (38%) systemic (overall 87%) 9 (22%) only antibiotic (complete 38%). 4/41 watchfuil waiting applied. Eighteen progressed during follow-up; progression free survival following first line 50 mos (CI: 38.4–53.7 mos), anumerical trend towards longer PFS (134 mos) lmyphoma (35.5 mos). The estimated overall 301 months, having died follow up (two progression, other 4 unrelated conditions). A comparison terms Os cohort 144 MALT-lmyphoma showed no significant difference outcome. Overall, appear have a good prognosis irrespcetive or involvement, whichbappears comparable obtined MALT-lymphoma. Keyword: non-Hodgkin No conflicts interests pertinent abstract.

Primary extranodal marginal zone Bcell lymphoma of hard palate: A case report

Introduction: MALT (mucosa associated lymphoid tissue) lymphomas comprise a heterogeneous group, originally thought to be derived from the marginal zone Bcells that are found surrounding Bcell follicles and within the adjacent lymphoepithelium. They arise most commonly in extranodal organs such as the stomach, major salivary glands and thyroid. Thus, they can be precisely described as extrano...

Clinicopathological Analysis of Ocular Adnexal Extranodal Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma with IgG4-Positive Cells

This study aims to analyze clinical and pathological characteristics of ocular adnexal extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (EMZL) accompanying IgG4-positive cells. Fifty patients with a diagnosis of primary non-conjunctival ocular adnexal EMZL were enrolled in this study. The number of IgG4-positive cells and the ratio of IgG/IgG4 were evaluated by immunohistochemistry in the biopsy specim...

A Case of Monoclonal Gammopathy in Extranodal Marginal Zone B-cell Lymphoma of the Small Intestine

Monoclonal gammopathy occurs in one-third of the patients with mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALT lymphoma). However, monoclonal gammopathy has been rarely reported in Korea. Paraprotenemia accompanying MALT lymphoma is strongly correlated with involvement of the bone marrow, and this involvement leads to the progression of the disease. Here, we present a case of a 66-yr-old man d...

Extranodal pulmonary marginal zone B-cell lymphoma☆

AIM Extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) arises a number of epithelial tissues, including the stomach, salivary gland, lung, small bowel, and elsewhere. Here we present a male patient with an uncommon site of extranodal MALT such as a pelvic mass diagnosed after a long period of evaluation, which initially presented with an incidental pulmonary nodule. METHOD We report a 60 yea...
